Husband survives sudden cardiac arrest thanks to wife’s CPR
Derek Smith woke up one night in cardiac arrest and was rushed to the hospital after receiving CPR from his wife, Jaime, while waiting for first responders. Later, he found out he had a condition called Wolf Parkinson White Syndrome (WPW). Dr. Jason Huang, a cardiac electrophysiologist, did a procedure, known as ablation, that destroyed the abnormal connection.
